Bio /Arthur Ericsson

During his second year of college, Arthur regularly rode his motorcycle 65 miles to Los Angeles to watch obscure foreign films. Those films inspired him to study filmmaking and begin telling stories of his own. After graduating from California State University, Long Beach, he spent two years working in Hollywood. Seeking a more meaningful creative life, he pursued a variety of careers, including vegetarian restaurant owner, environmental activist, rowing coach, and nonprofit director. Today, Arthur has returned to filmmaking with renewed purpose, combining decades of life experience with modern digital tools to create visually minimalist films exploring authority, absurdity, perseverance, and the human condition.
